Delete your Xplorout account

You can permanently delete your account in the app or request deletion without having the app installed.

Option 1: delete inside the app

1. Sign in to Xplorout.
2. Open Account.
3. Select Delete my account.
4. Enter your password and confirm Delete permanently.

The account deletion takes effect immediately. You are signed out and the account cannot be restored.

Option 2: request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app, email delete@xplorout.com from the email address registered to your account. Use the subject “Xplorout account deletion request” and state clearly that you want the account and associated personal data deleted.

We will verify that the request comes from the account holder. We will not ask for your password. If you no longer control the registered email address, provide enough non-sensitive information for us to assess ownership; we may be unable to delete or disclose an account if identity cannot be verified safely.

Verified email requests are completed without undue delay and within 30 days unless applicable law permits an extension. We will confirm completion or explain any lawful limitation using the contact details available to us.

What deletion removes

• Your account credentials and active sessions.
• Your profile, including name, email address, language, account preferences and verification status.
• Your saved listings, plans and personal discovery preferences.
• Your “Wanna Come?” invitations and your membership of other invitations.
• Your provider profile and unpublished business or listing submissions associated only with your account, subject to legal and operational obligations affecting approved public records.
• Your push-notification token and account-linked notification settings.
• Personal attribution attached to social messages, subject to the limited conversation treatment below.

Information that may be retained

Deletion removes the account and associated personal data, but limited information may be retained only where necessary and permitted by law:

• Conversation integrity: messages already delivered to other participants may be replaced by a neutral deletion marker or retained without your identity where necessary to preserve the understandable context of their conversation.
• Safety and moderation: reports, blocks, enforcement records and evidence may be retained for a proportionate period to protect users, prevent repeat abuse, investigate fraud, comply with legal obligations or establish and defend legal claims.
• Transactions with third parties: Xplorout cannot delete booking or payment records held independently by an operator or booking provider. Contact that provider directly under its privacy policy.
• Security and legal records: minimal logs or records may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, tax, regulatory compliance, lawful requests or legal claims.
• Backups: residual copies may remain in protected rolling backups for a limited period until automatically overwritten and are not restored to active use except for disaster recovery.
• Anonymous information: statistics that no longer identify or can reasonably be linked to you may be retained.

Retained information is restricted to the relevant purpose and deleted or anonymised when that purpose no longer applies. More detail is available in the Privacy Policy.

What deletion does not do

• It does not cancel a booking, ticket or activity purchased from a third-party provider.
• It does not automatically request deletion from independent booking providers or operators you visited.
• It does not provide a refund. Contact the provider named on the booking confirmation.
• It does not erase content or records another person is independently entitled or legally required to retain.

Before deleting

Save any information you need from your plans and bookings. If you have an unresolved safety, support or legal matter, you may wish to keep the relevant reference number. Deleting Xplorout does not affect your rights concerning an existing complaint or personal-data request.

Disable notifications without deleting

If you only want to stop alerts, turn notifications off under Account or in your device settings. You can also sign out without deleting the account.
